SoURCE was a three year, £299,001 TLTP3 project, which explored issues surrounding the the re-use of educational software within (UK) higher education. Our aims were to:
- determine the extent to which customisation is an effective technique for increasing the extent to which educational software is (re-)used appropriately within higher education.
- establish the feasibility of setting up a 'National Library of Re-usable Educational Software' (RESL).
We attempted to build pedagogy into the software and then work with academics to ensure they understood these pedagogical intentions. However, it became clear that the ways in which they used the software often undermined those pedagogical intentions.
